Contemplative robot concert for a seated audience

In this ambient robotic performance, Moritz Simon Geist investigates a journey through sine waves, vibrations, and ambient textures - with robotic sound machines and tape loops.

The contemplative performance for a seated audience is based on Moritz newest work, “Don’t Look At Me”, a sonic machine which produces sine waves with mechanical actuators.

Geist uses newly developed physical sine wave generators to create a slow and evolving ambient landscape as a spatial sound machine.

The functional principle is derived from the vibraphone, using a resonator tube, but in this futuristic version, the tones are not triggered by hand, but by a robotic element.
