Scopitone 2013

SourceLast week the robots went to the Scopitone Festival in Nantes, France. Together with @barfton I presented an interactive version of the drum robot MR-808, so that the audience is able to control the drum robot by themselves. And we really learned a lot: a group of thirty 10-year old pupils is the best way to do a hardcore stress test to your installation, interface and setup. They will press every available button - all at once and all the same time! More on that interactive part of our installation will follow soon.Moritz Simon Geist, MR-808, à Nantes. (Photo Franck Tomps)For the French speaking audience we gave an interview for the well known French newspaper LA LIBERATION about the installation, where I talk about the background of the installation, robot music and future plans.
Apart from the exhibition I took part at the musical program, as can be seen in the video on the top of the page, playing a sold out show on Friday beside DISCLOSURE, JON HOPKINS and others. So - it was awesome! Thanks to Cederic, Yeliz and Guillaume to make this happen.
